Champagne cocktails

A champagne cocktail is a flavorful aperitif for brunch, lunch, or dinner and also works exceptionally well as a sparkling welcome drink. Of course, a special moment deserves a bubbly touch, and with one of these cocktail recipes, it becomes even more festive! Here are our top 6 recipes to create the most delicious champagne cocktails.

The six most delicious champagne cocktails:

  1. Sacré Sauvage
  2. Kir Royal
  3. French 75
  4. Sroppino
  5. Mimosa cocktail
  6. Bellini cocktail

1. Sacré Sauvage

The Sacré Sauvage champagne cocktail from Piper-Heidsieck is the summer sensation among champagne cocktails and can easily be made at home!

Ingredients:

  • 10 to 12 cl Piper-Heidsieck Rosé Sauvage
  • 2 CL bitter orange liqueur
  • 2 slices of orange
  • Grapefruit peel
  • Ice cubes
  • Red fruits: strawberries, (wild) berries, blackberries

Rosé Sauvage Recipe:

Put the ice cubes in a glass. Add the bitter orange liqueur and fill the glass with PIPER-HEIDSIECK Rosé Sauvage. Gently press the grapefruit to distribute the flavors in the mix. Cheers!

2. Kir Royal

Perhaps one of the more well-known champagne cocktails, Kir Royal has been incredibly popular for years. It's a delightful champagne cocktail for holidays such as Christmas and New Year's, but also a lovely festive drink on a summer day. Making a Kir Royal is a breeze.

Ingredients:

  • Champagne of your choice
  • Crème de Cassis
  • Raspberries or blackcurrants

Kir Royal Recipe:

Firstly, ensure that the champagne is well chilled. Pour 15 ml of Crème de Cassis into a champagne glass. Then, fill the glass with champagne. Garnish with raspberries or a sprig of blackcurrants.

3. French 75

This classic among cocktails was first created in 1915 at the legendary New York bar in Paris, a hotspot for the jet set during the La Belle Epoque era. The combination of gin and champagne is overwhelming. The French 75 cocktail is definitely a must-try. Drink it as cold as possible!

Ingredients:

  • Gin
  • Brut champagne
  • Lemon juice
  • Simple syrup
  • Lemon peel
  • Ice cubes

French 75 Champagne Cocktail Recipe:

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add 6 cl gin, 3 cl lemon juice, and 2 to 3 teaspoons of simple syrup to the shaker. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Strain the cocktail through a fine strainer into a champagne flute. Slowly top up the flute with brut champagne. Garnish the flute with a thinly sliced lemon peel and enjoy!

4. Scroppino

Scroppino, also known as spoom, is a refreshing champagne cocktail. It's often served as an intermediate course to aid digestion and neutralize the palate. Scroppino is also perfect for serving as a dessert.

Ingredients:

  • Lemon sorbet
  • Champagne or Prosecco
  • Vodka
  • Sprig of mint

Scroppino Champagne Cocktail Recipe:

Scoop a scoop of lemon sorbet into a bowl. Add 60 ml of bubbles and 30 ml of vodka. Mix the ingredients until it forms a creamy mixture. Pour the Scroppino into a champagne glass and garnish it with a sprig of mint and a festive straw.

5. Mimosa Cocktail

The Mimosa cocktail is very refreshing and quick and easy to make. A delightful champagne cocktail, perfect for a Easter brunch or a breakfast in bed for Father's or Mother's Day.

Ingredients:

  • Champagne
  • Fresh orange juice
  • Cointreau

Mimosa Cocktail Recipe:

Pour 60 ml of fresh orange juice into a champagne flute. Slowly top up the flute with champagne. Be careful not to pour too hard to avoid overflowing the glass. Gently stir the cocktail. Finish the cocktail by adding 5 ml of Cointreau. Garnish the flute with a slice of orange and enjoy!

6. Bellini Cocktail

Bellini is for true peach enthusiasts! Named after the Venetian painter of the same name, it was first enjoyed in the early '40s. A fruity, effervescent, but above all, festive champagne cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • Peach (wild)
  • Champagne or Prosecco
  • Optional: cherry or raspberry juice

Bellini Cocktail Recipe:

Peel and pit the peach. Then, puree the peach. For a smooth texture, you can pass the puree through a sieve. Pour the puree into a champagne flute or coupe. Slowly pour in the champagne. Gently stir and let it settle for a moment. To give the Bellini cocktail a slight color, you can optionally add a drop of cherry or raspberry juice. Garnish the glass with a slice of peach. Cheers!
