How do I order an item?

Ordering from Champagneshop is simple and fast. If you follow the steps below, your order will be on its way in no time!

  1. Browse through our webshop, click on the link to the Champagne you want to have delivered.
  2. In the text box 'add a free card,' you can fill in a personal message to the recipient. You can also add your own card in Word or PDF format. Then click the 'Order' button.
  3. Review your order and click the 'View shopping cart' button. In the next window, click the 'Proceed to checkout' button.
  4. Fill in the details of the delivery and billing address and follow the instructions on the screen. Then enter the delivery date and payment preferences, click the 'Place your order' button, and your order is complete.

How do you deliver my order?

Champagne orders in the Amsterdam region are delivered by our own drivers. Orders for addresses in the rest of the Netherlands are delivered by the delivery service Packs.

What happens if no one is home?

If no one is home at the delivery address at the time of delivery, the delivery driver follows the next procedure:

  1. The driver delivers the package to the neighbors and leaves a card at the delivery address indicating which house number accepted the package.
  2. If it's not possible to deliver the package to the neighbors, the driver takes the package back and leaves a card with the recipient. With the phone number provided, the recipient can arrange a new delivery appointment.

When will my order be delivered?

You can choose the delivery date during the ordering process. For delivery the next day, your order must be placed before 5:00 PM (Dutch time). We deliver from Monday to Saturday. We do not deliver on Sundays and holidays.

Is Same Day Delivery possible?

Yes. Our company is located in Amsterdam, and orders for Amsterdam, Badhoevedorp, Amstelveen, and the surrounding areas can be executed on the same day if ordered before 12:00 PM. For special orders or questions, feel free to contact us.

What is the cost of delivery?

The delivery cost is €8.50

Where does Champagneshop deliver?

We deliver throughout the Netherlands. Orders for Germany can be delivered through our German branch, go to www.champagnershop.de.

Can I also pick up my order?

Yes, you can. You can pick up your order at our location in Amsterdam. We have a wide selection of champagnes that you can choose on the spot and pay with a debit card or in cash.


Payment
Secure payment

At Champagneshop, you can pay securely in multiple ways. The payment is processed by our payment provider Pay. We offer all common secure payment options. When you place an order and fill in all the details, you can choose from several options:

  • iDeal
  • Credit card
  • PayPal
  • Invoice (for a business account, contact our customer service: 020-408 48 51)

These online payments are processed securely in collaboration with Pay.

How are my details secured?

All your data, including the credit card number, is secured with SSL. This is a strong form of encryption that prevents malicious individuals from using your data.

Which payment methods can I use?

We offer the usual payment methods, such as iDeal, Credit card (American Express, Visa, and Mastercard), PayPal, and payment by invoice. Contact our customer service if you want to pay by invoice.

  • Pay with iDeal

What is iDEAL?
With iDEAL, you can order and pay for champagnes in a familiar, safe, and easy way. You settle in your trusted online banking environment based on specific payment methods from your own bank.

How does payment with iDEAL work?
You place an order in our webshop. When checking out, you can indicate that you want to pay with iDEAL. Click on the payment method and select your bank. Then, you will be redirected to your own bank, where the payment order is ready for you. Your bank will ask you to fill in some details, and you authorize the payment. The amount is immediately debited from your bank account.

  • Pay with Credit Card

At Champagneshop, you can pay with your credit card. Champagneshop accepts the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa. Credit card payment is made via an SSL-secured server that encrypts your credit card information. Your details are immediately verified with the credit card company, which approves your payment within a few seconds. You will receive a confirmation of your order by email with an order number.

What happens if my payment is declined?
Your credit card payment may be declined, for example, if the limit is reached. In that case, you will have the opportunity to choose another payment method or try again.

  • Pay on Account

Businesses can order on an invoice basis. If your company or institution has not received a debtor number from us, please call our Customer Service at 020 4084851. Individuals can pay afterwards, see our terms and conditions.

  • Pay with PayPal

What is PayPal?
With PayPal, you can make a payment using the recipient's email address using a credit card, bank account, or money received in the account. Transferring money from your account to your own bank account is also possible.

How does payment with PayPal work?
You place an order. When checking out, you indicate that you want to pay with PayPal. Click on the payment method. You will then be redirected to PayPal, where the payment order is ready for you. PayPal asks you to fill in some details, and you authorize the payment. The amount is immediately debited from your PayPal account.


Return Policy

You have a cooling-off period of 14 days to return the product without giving any reasons, starting from the day of receiving the product. From the moment of the return notification, you have 14 days to return the product. The product can only be returned unused and, if possible, in the original packaging. Return costs are at your expense. We will credit the amount within 14 days. 

The entrepreneur reimburses all payments from the consumer, including any delivery costs charged by the entrepreneur for the returned product, immediately but within 14 days following the day on which the consumer reports the withdrawal. Unless the entrepreneur offers to collect the product himself, he may wait to pay back until he has received the product or until the consumer demonstrates that he has returned the product, whichever comes first. The entrepreneur uses the same means of payment that the consumer used unless the consumer agrees to a different method. The reimbursement is free of charge for the consumer.


Complaints Handling

It is, of course, unfortunate if you have a complaint about our products or services. However, we kindly ask you to report your complaint to the customer contact department by email. This can be done by email, regular mail, and/or by phone. You can find our contact details at the bottom of this page. Our customer service staff will review the complaint and try to resolve it to everyone's satisfaction. Upon receipt of your complaint, you will receive a confirmation from us. We will answer your complaint within 14 days of receipt; if more time is needed, we will notify you.

If you do not appreciate this, you can also always contact the mediation department of Stichting Webshop Keurmerk, to which Champagneshop is affiliated. If the mediation attempt does not lead to a satisfactory solution for any reason, you have the option to submit your dispute to the Disputes Committee (SGC).
