The extreme cold sping and warm and dry summer and just before harvest extreme rain produced grapes of remarkable intensity, giving rise to a champagne of sensual power and refined elegance.
Tasting Notes
This cuvée blends Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in perfect equilibrium. In the glass, it shimmers with a deep pink hue and copper reflections. The bouquet opens with aromas of raspberries, wild strawberries and rose petals, followed by delicate floral tones of violet and iris. As it evolves, spicy nuances of angelica and camphor emerge, adding remarkable complexity.
The wine is surprising, less powerful than expected. That is, this power is also displaying lightness. It is strikingly intense, precise. Also delicate, dense and silky. Everything seems to be integrated within it, like reconciled, a mastery of opposites. The obvious coherence of its flesh fills the mouth with an impression of suspended, spherical presence, which is deploying and amplifying: it relaunches itself within the duration of the tasting, stretching out the movement of the wine.
