The 2006 Vintage

The 2006 season in Champagne was marked by a warm, sunny summer followed by a cool and humid August. A bright and dry September ensured full ripeness of the grapes. This contrast resulted in a wine that combines ripe fruit intensity with lively structure and remarkable balance.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, ripe stone fruits such as peach and apricot blend with exotic nuances and hints of toasted brioche. The palate is full and silky, showing an elegant interplay between generous fruit, mineral tension and fine bitters. The finish is long and mineral, with a subtle saline touch that enhances its complexity.

Food Pairings

  • Lobster or langoustine
  • Veal or pigeon with earthy accents
  • Scallops with citrus or fennel
  • Dishes with fresh herbs such as rosemar
